The week in review: 4/11-4/25

So a lot has happened since my last update... especially on the festival circuit. Sorry that I have to say it, but the above laurel is a lie. The Eviction was first announced as an official selection to the Texas Ultimate Shorts Festival, which it was. That is until the very next day. That is when I was notified that it

was a Finalist at the same festival. Pretty cool news for an awesome doc. As this came right on the the

heels of the fact that I was notified that The Eviction was also an official selection for the Docs Without Borders Film Festival. Excellent honors that I am very excited about. The final results for Docs Without Borders, the IndieFEST Film Festival, and Docs Without Borders will be announced after the festivals are over: 5/8, 5/8, and 5/20.

Is that all the Festival news? No. I just found out today that Gonzales: Come and Take It! and Wally have also been announced as Finalists for the IndustryBOOST Film Festival in Miami Florida. So that is pretty cool as well.

Meanwhile for shooting, I was able to get some footage of the Deep Ellum art and music festival. The

only thing holding me back is finding the time to edit. The fun of carrying more than the load of a full time professor on two adjunct postiions that are located on different sides of the city. Ah well, welcome to America. :)

So what am I working on? Well I am working on T-shirts for Wally and The Eviction, as well as putting together footage to make another doc. Thanks for the read.
